A well-prepared home makes the handover easier for you, your guests and the team looking after it. You do not need to have everything solved before speaking with us. Start with a clear picture of the property and we can agree what needs attention.
1. Start with the home as it is today
Share the location, bedroom and bathroom count, sleeping arrangements and any outdoor spaces. Tell us about parking, stairs, lifts, pools or shared facilities. If there is already a listing, send the link along with anything in it that needs correcting.
Be clear about your own plans too: dates you want to use the home, work you intend to carry out and any existing reservations. These affect the handover and calendar.
2. Walk through a guest’s arrival
Think about finding the building, parking, opening the entrance and getting into the property. Agree how keys, access cards or a lockbox will be handled, including a backup if something goes wrong. Prepare clear Wi-Fi details and practical instructions for appliances and air conditioning.
Give your management team the building rules, useful contacts and any access restrictions. Instructions should reflect how the home actually works.
3. Check the everyday essentials
- Sleeping and bathing: suitable bedding, towels, mattress protection and enough spare linen for the agreed turnover arrangement.
- Cooking and living: working appliances, a sensible kitchen inventory and furniture appropriate to the guest capacity.
- Cleaning and replenishment: an agreed place for supplies and a plan for replacing essentials between stays.
- Property information: current maintenance issues, shut-off locations, equipment instructions and emergency contacts.
Safety, insurance and any registration or other requirements need to be checked for your property. Tell us what is already in place and flag anything that needs a qualified professional’s attention.
4. Agree the handover in writing
Before launch, confirm the listing and platform access, services, fees, cleaning arrangement, maintenance approvals and how you will receive updates. Agree who pays for any outstanding preparation, supplies or photography.
We then coordinate the agreed setup and day-to-day hosting. Read our guide to management fees or tell us about your home to start the conversation.
